The 2015 Content in Context (CIC) conference featured three Innovation Interludes—brief, informal conversations between early-stage “edupreneurs” and seasoned industry experts—that examined the definition of innovation and explored the realities of bringing new ideas to market. This segment features Frank Freeman (Propagate) and John Morse (Merriam-Webster). Propagate is an online platform that turns any digital text into an interactive vocabulary lesson; John was naturally curious about how Propagate chose its definitions and how the content affected the development process. In the clip below Frank and John discuss the importance of making sure that the content provided by Propagate is high quality and that the technology is not the sole focus.
