When the AAP School Division and the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) merged in 2013 to form the AAP PreK-12 Learning Group, the goal was to combine AEP’s quality programming and professional development with AAP’s public policy advocacy to provide the strongest services for the preK-12 education publishing industry in a rapidly changing environment. As we approach the three-year anniversary of the merger, we pride ourselves on having made many strides toward that goal, including increasing the quality of our events and awards, extending our advocacy with state and federal education regulations, providing our members with industry intelligence and thought leadership, and starting the Center for Innovation & Digital Learning. Moreover, we have remained steadfast in our message about the critical importance of high quality learning resources for every teacher and student.
