University Dialogue: Chicago

Members of AAP’s Higher Education Committee participated in our Chicago University Dialogue on April 27 at 1871, Chicago’s entrepreneurial hub for digital start ups. Participants from Cengage, Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, Wiley and W.W. Norton met with policymakers, stakeholders and academics from universities across Illinois to discuss how digital learning products provide dynamic course materials, but provide the opportunity for faculty to enhance courses with material of their own.

Through these sessions, higher education publishers share their expertise in the area of developing and implementing new learning technologies. Publishers help institutions use new technology to create “transformative change” to improve student performance and reduce cost.
