Garrett P. Kiely

Garrett P. Kiely is the 15th Director of the University of Chicago Press. The Press was founded in 1892 as one of the three original divisions of the University of Chicago. He joined the Press in 2007 and directs an operation that includes a Books Division and a Journals Division that publish more than 300 books and 80 journals annually. In addition, Kiely oversees the Chicago Distribution Center, the leading distributor of scholarly books in print and digital formats. Prior to joining the Press, he was President and Publisher at Palgrave Macmillan, a division of Macmillan and St. Martin's Press. He graduated from Georgetown University and lives in Chicago’s western suburbs.
