AAP-UNCF Announces Fourth Year of Paid Internships for HBCU Students
Applications from juniors and seniors at HBCUs are due March 1, 2019
The Association of American Publishers (AAP) is pleased to continue its partnership with the UNCF (United Negro College Fund) to offer paid summer internships to African American students attending Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs) who have an interest in publishing. The AAP-UNCF Internship Program provides paid summer internships in editorial, marketing, art, publicity, audio and digital media, production, sales and software, operations, and digital engineering roles. Past placements at AAP member publishing companies including Elsevier (RELX), Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan Publishing, Penguin Random House, Scholastic Corporation, and W.W. Norton. Students will be matched with a mentor and housing is provided.
Juniors or seniors from any of the nation’s over 100 HBCUs with an interest in pursuing a career in the publishing industry are eligible for an internship. Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, a record of leadership and community service, and strong writing skills are encouraged to apply online.
