STATEMENT FROM MARIA PALLANTE, AAP PRESIDENT AND CEO, ON THE PASSING OF JOHN CONYERS

On behalf of the Association of American Publishers, I extend condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues who are mourning the loss of former Representative John Conyers. We honor and celebrate his extraordinary legacy as a champion of civil rights, constitutional protections, and intellectual property, and thank him for his unwavering support of the copyright community, generally, and authors and artists, especially. He will be remembered, and he will be missed.
