Free PSP Session on Disruptors in Scholarly Publishing and Networking/Happy Hour Event

The PSP Professional Development Committee (PDC) is excited to offer you a free session on disruptors followed by a happy-hour/networking event on Tuesday, November 7th.  These two events are relevant to everyone in PSP publishing, whether you’re just starting out or have been in the industry for 20 years!

The first event:
Learn, Connect, Grow: Free PSP Session on Disruptors in Professional and Scholarly Publishing

Come and listen to two highly-experienced industry experts discussing the disruptors in our industry:
David Crotty, Editorial Director, Journals Policy, Oxford University Press
Bill Deluise, VP, Society Strategy and Marketing, Wiley

The session will start with a presentation on the major factors driving disruption and change in the professional and scholarly publishing industry and the type of communities developing new business models and technology (David Crotty). The second presentation will cover how the scholarly publishing industry interacts with the academic and professional research cycle.  Specific examples of innovations and disruptions from each part of the research cycle will be discussed (Bill Deluise).

Eat, Drink and Network!
