AAP CEO Maria Pallante Comments on AAP Board Chairmanship Transition
The following is a comment from Maria Pallante, President and CEO of the Association of American Publishers (AAP), regarding the resignation of John Sargent from AAP’s Board and the Chairmanship transition.
“Today John Sargent informed the Association of American Publishers that he is stepping away from Macmillan Publishers and resigning from the AAP Board of Directors. John is AAP’s longest serving officer— current Board Chairman, former Vice Chairman, and longtime Treasurer— and has for many years been a selfless, wise, and dedicated steward of AAP’s mission and membership. We extend our profound gratitude to John for his warm and collegial leadership of our community and for his indelible contributions to the global publishing industry.”
